Fun and Sun in Malahide
From 17th to 24th April, the Year 4 classes spent a wonderful week in Ireland where they attended a language school in the morning and visited the surroundings of Dublin in the afternoon. The memorable trip was blessed with glorious - untypically Irish - weather and 69 eager and enthusiastic students from Eurogym created beautiful memories that will last forever.
Here are some of their impressions:
“Ireland was gorgeous, the weather was great and mostly sunny. The atmosphere was stunning, especially at the cliffs and by the sea.”
(Philipp, 4b)
“All in all, I really liked this trip because we got to experience a different culture, another language and beautiful places, so I would really recommend it.”
(Emma, 4a)
“Besides, we had four mornings where everybody stayed in different language groups at school. Our teacher was really nice and funny. For me, the hours with him were perfect and I won’t forget them.”
(Sophie-Marie, 4b)
“I think the Irish Dancing was the best activity we did there. It was so funny and cool and I think that was the evening I laughed the most.”
(Miriam, 4c)
“In my opinion, the best activity was the trip to Dalkey. There my friends and I bought fish and chips and ate them on the waterfront while looking at the Irish Sea. I hope I will remember this moment forever.”
(Katharina, 4a)
“My highlight was the famous Howth Cliff Walk. The sun was shining and we had a great view of the ocean. That was the most impressive experience of the whole trip!”
(Anika, 4a)
“In my opinion, the best experience was that we stayed at host families. Most of them were very friendly and helpful.”
(Liliane, 4b)
“It was very cool that we didn’t stay in normal hotels because you could experience how Irish families live and we hat the possibility to talk very much and to improve our English.”
(Selma, 4c)
“Would I recommend this trip? Yes and yes a thousand times. This wasn’t just a trip for me, for me it was a memory forever. Even if I was exhausted every night and spent a lot of money, I won’t ever forget the time we all had together and the things we all learned.”
(Tobias H., 4a)
“The trip to Ireland was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life and I can really recommend visiting this beautiful country.”
(Florian, 4c)
