With their suitcases full of valuable experiences and unforgettable memories, Year 4 students returned from their 8-day-trip to England. After a sightseeing weekend in London, they did not miss out any opportunity to perfect their English while staying with host families or attending an English course in Eastbourne. To give you a better idea of all these wonderful impressions the pupils took home with them, here are some extracts from their diaries:

“I honestly have to say that this was one of the most exciting weeks in my whole entire life. We spent two days in London and I guess I found a new favourite city.”

(Helene Käferböck)

“The walk was very exhausting, but I liked it very much. The view on top of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head was amazing. I saw miles over miles of sea and many birds which flew over it.”

(Miguel Benitez-Rathgeb)

“One very big highlight for me was Madame Tussaud’s. It was when I saw Justin Bieber. You have to imagine Justin Bieber! He is so handsome!”

(Anna Baumann)

“Our host family were very nice. We talked a lot with their daughter, Zoe. She was a very nice girl. The food wasn’t as bad as we had heard it would be. But their sausages are horrible! I couldn’t eat them. Yuk.”

(Katharina Öllinger)

“We were very lucky with our host family because they were very nice. In the morning only the host father was at home, his name was Keith Comton. He was from a Caribbean island, and liked basketball. In the evening we had Caribbean food every day. It was a cool trip.”

(Peter Emhofer)
