In this week`s pool session on April 1st class 6b was involved in various activities focussing on the environment, i.e. threats, challenges, solutions, initiatives that can be taken to safeguard a future for mankind. Apart from taking photographs of their favourite place in nature and presenting it in a creative manner
, students created campaign posters appealing to people`s responsibility, produced documentaries using digital technology, i.e. the programme “Photostory 3”, to outline the current status of mother earth by recording their own voices and selecting pictures to illustrate their points. Furthermore they had to engage in active debates on ideas presented in various newspaper articles. After dealing with the highly topical issues in this pool session, students reported back that they had gained valuable insights as well as that they had been able to develop an increased awareness of their possibilities of setting a good example.
