A Christmas Carol

"Humbug", Ebenezer Scrooge replies dismissively when his relatives wish him a Merry Christmas. The phrase is notoriously linked with the old and bitter money lender who is the main character in A Christmas Carol – one of the most famous Christmas stories of all times written by Charles Dickens.
On 7th December 2006, our Year 3 and Year 4 students had the opportunity to enjoy the lively and captivating performance of Dickens' play at Linz Landestheater and watch Ebenezer Scrooge change from an unsympathetic, greedy man who hates Christmas into a model of generosity and kindness that happily celebrates Christmas with his family and even treats them to the biggest and most expensive turkey in town...
