An unforgettable journey to sunny Eastbourne

Sprachwoche England 2018

As every year, this year's language trip of year 4 to the south of England was a great success. Many students' favourite experience was the day trip to Brighton, where we visited the Royal Pavilion, the i360 tower, and some explored the little streets of The Lanes. We were also introduced to the capital, and one of the world's most buzzing cities, London.

The free time in Covent Garden, where we could see various street-artists perform, was one of my personal highlights. We also spent one afternoon in Lewes. Lewes is a little, typical English town with a huge, ancient castle. There, we took a stroll through the old streets, and some students also visited the house of Anne of Cleves, one of Henry VIII's many exes. It's safe to say that the first dreaded Seven Sisters-walk was another highlight of our trip. Even though we all were pretty tired in the evening, everyone admired the beautiful views the cliffs gave us. Thank you to the teachers, who were in charge of organising this unforgettable journey!
